Water is essential to life in Selwyn. Our job is to look after it.
Selwyn Water is now responsible for delivering safe, reliable drinking water and wastewater services for the district - with the sole focus, specialist expertise and long-term planning needed to support a growing community.
As we take on this role, your services will continue as normal.
As Selwyn Water becomes established and our transition progresses, some functions will continue to be delivered by Selwyn District Council on our behalf.
Over the coming weeks, we will continue to add information, tools, and updates to this website ahead of taking over customer billing for drinking water and wastewater services on 1 July 2026. Please keep checking back for updates.
In the meantime, you can continue to contact us through the usual Council channels.
Selwyn Water is 100% owned by Selwyn District Council and accountable to our community.
